Las doce víctimas del FPMR murieron en enfrentamientos con agentes de la Central Nacional de Informaciones (CNI) en Chile los días 15 y 16 de junio de 1987. El estudiante, Ricardo Silva murió en la madrugada de ese día junto Esther Angélica CABRERA HINOJOSA, cesante, Elizabeth Edelmira ESCOBAR MONDACA, empleada, Patricia Angélica QUIROZ NILO, estudiante, Ricardo Hernán RIVERA SILVA, chofer, Manuel Eduardo VALENCIA CALDERON, electromecánico, y José Joaquín VALENZUELA LEVI, estudiante.
