Jorge Soria Quiroga, político chileno, alcalde de Iquique durante tres periodos: 1964-1973, 1992-2007 y 2012-2016. Siendo alcalde al momento del Golpe de Estado, fue detenido, siendo enviado al Campo de Prisioneros de Pisagua y luego relegado a Mulchén. Militante del Partido Socialista desde 1950, renuncia a dicha colectividad en 1990 para unirse al Partido Comunista, del cual renuncia en 1996 para sumarse al PPD. En el 2004 abandona el PPD y desde entonces ha sido parte de diferentes partidos de tendencia regionalista como Partido Regionalista, Fuerza País, Fuerza del Norte, Más Región y Por la Integración Regional.
