En parte thriller político, en parte memoria, GRANITO DE ARENA es una historia de acontecimientos oscuros, yuxtapuestos con el poder inspirador de la acción colectiva en la búsqueda de justicia. En 1982, siendo una joven cineasta, Pamela Yates viajó a Guatemala a filmar un documental, Cuando las montañas tiemblan, acerca de una guerra oculta. De repente, en el presente, un grupo de abogados de un caso internacional de genocidio le pidieron que rastreara en los archivos de su antiguo documental en busca de posibles pruebas en contra del dictador guatemalteco, el general Ríos Montt, que había presumido de su poder absoluto ante la cámara de Yates hace tres décadas. De golpe, el viejo material fílmico cobra nueva vida y Pamela tiene la oportunidad de ayudar a llevar a los acusados ante la justicia. Dirigido por Pamela Yates, Peter Kinoy y Paco de Onís.
