La obra trata de la persecución de los cristianos en el siglo III para referirse metaforicamente al fusilamiento de diecinueve detenidos desaparecidos durante la dictadura militar en Chile y cuyos cuerpos fueron hallados en 1979 en la localidad de Yumbel, VIII región. La obra obtuvo el premio teatral Casa de las Américas
