La guerra civil de El Salvador se desarrollo durante 1980 y 1992, años en que se vivió un enfrentamiento entre el ejército gubernamental, la Fuerza Armada de El Salvador (FAES) en contra del Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN), sumiendo al país en una crisis política que cobro alrededor de 75.000 muertos y desaparecidos. El conflicto finalizo con un acuerdo de paz entre las partes.
