Biographical history
Director, guionista y productor.chileno Abandonó el país a los veinte años y se instaló en Francia, donde permaneció entre 1976 y 1983. Estudió cine en la Universidad de París VIII (Vincennes) y en la Escuela de Cine Louis Lumiè. Regresó a Chile como corresponsal extranjero de la Televisión Francesa y de algunos canales norteamericanos. Grabó las protestas contra la dictadura y se adentró en el mundo de la periferia de Santiago.

Registro audiovisual efectuado por el cineasta Gonzalo Justiniano durante las protestas de los días 4 y 5 de septiembre de 1984 en la población La Victoria. En ese contexto es asesinado el sacerdote francés André Jarlan. Luego de la protesta, la oficina de Justiniano fue allanada por agentes de la CNI, quienes confiscaron el material fílmico del realizador buscando imágenes de la muerte del sacerdote. Justiniano es golpeado e intimidado. Esta cinta sobrevivió porque los agentes no lograron encontrarla.
