Voto plebiscito para aprobar nueva constitución, se realizó el día jueves 11 de septiembre de 1980. Para ejercer el derecho a voto se exigió como único documento la cédula de identidad, cualquiera fuese su fecha de vencimiento. Con un 67, 04% ganó la opción que aprobaba la constitución creada por el gobierno militar.
