En este capítulo: El proceso de reforma agraria fue impulsado por el gobierno de Alessandri y continuado por el de Frei Montalva, donde se expropiaron los campos que tuviesen más de 80.000 hectáreas para entregárselo a los campesinos. Aumentaron las exigencias de los trabajadores y el malestar de los latifundistas, situación que se radicaliza durante el gobierno de Salvador Allende y que termina con el gobierno militar.
